Aldred family papers
The papers of the Aldred family include correspondence, photographs, postcards, press clippings and posters. The majority of this collection are letters, with two written in Māori. Most of the letters are by Arthur Aldred, writing from Tonga to his wife in New Zealand during the course of the First World War.

William Colenso Māori letters
Original manuscript letters, ink and pencil, written in Māori. Includes three envelopes, two with wax seals. Also includes a photocopied entry on William Colenso from the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography.
